Quality Beef
We don’t just pack our products, we produce them from start to finish entirely in house.
The unique properties of ByBenji begin as soon as the beef lands on our butcher’s blocks, delivered directly from London’s Smithfield Meat Market.
With our artisan approach, our butchers lovingly and expertly craft the beef into long strips by hand, checking that there’s no unwanted sinew or gristle.
We use only the very leanest cuts of top quality human grade beef muscle meat, principally Silverside of Beef, so that there’s no abundance of fat, just the highest level of protein content.

Magic of Marinating
It’s simple, there’s meat, and then there’s marinated meat where the infused herb flavour truly enhances the sensory incentive for your dog. This is literally the essence of Biltong at its dog friendly best.
Dogs sense everything before trying, and with ByBenji no nose will ever forget their first whiff of Biltong.
We use a vinegar based infusion with our choice of mixed herbs including : parsley, sage and rosemary, eliminating excessive use of salt and absolutely no sugars, pepper ,spice or chillies, replicating the traditional method of production but making this transition to the pet market completely dog friendly.
We cure our meat by slowly rotating a gentle flow of warm air. This maintains the integrity of the protein which conforms to raw. Other drying & dehydration methods often means the goodness is lost through direct heat and high temperatures.
The result is a distinctive ultra -premium dog treat collection that exudes a pleasantly distinctive aroma with a flavour likened to the end pieces of a Sunday roast…resistance is futile!

Biltong vs Jerky
You may well know the word “Jerky”, they are both dried meats, but that’s where the similarity ends.
The main difference between the two is in the preparation. Jerky is generally smoked and placed on racks and dried by direct heat.
Uniquely, biltong is marinated before being hung up to cure, aided by the circulation of warm air, meaning the meat keeps in all its goodness.
Biltong, delivers a distinctive and unrivalled protein punch elevating the beef to superf🐾d status with a high protein density and addictive taste.
Biltong is a process that heros flavour and unlike many meat treats has an attractive aroma on opening that pleases humans as well as hounds.

With Biltong becoming the much favoured reward and recall training tool, it’s good to know all our products stay dry to hand. So when dipping into a treat bag on a hot sunny day, you can say goodbye to sticky or claggy fingers, plus there’s no unusable or wasted product.
All our pouches are resealable, reusable and are specially vacuumed packed which gives our products a 12 month shelf life before opening.
The treats will stay as fresh as the day they were first packed, and if left open for any length of time will simply continue to dry in the air.
This means every morsel is used…no mess, no fuss and no wasted treats or money!
